IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems – IMS’95, Bucharest, Romania, October 24-26, 1995. The workshop included presentations about manufacturing systems operations, manufacturing processes, manufacturing planning, concurrent engineering, object-oriented design, simulation and fault detection. Bringing together experts and representatives from industry, research institutes and universities, this third IFAC Workshop continued discussions and exchanges of research results started on the previous two: in Dearborne 1992 and Vienna 1994. The IPC selected 115 papers with authors from 14 countries from 140 submitted contributions. A Regional Meeting of the IFAC Technical Committee on Advanced Manufacturing Technology (MIT) was held.
