International Workshop on Robotics in Alpe-Adria-Danube Region – RAAD’09, Brasov, Romania, May 25-27, 2009. A number of 104 papers have been selected for presentation in three plenary sessions and thirty two technical sessions, involving 160 authors from 16 countries. The session topics reflect the trends in robotics of the future, mobile robots, advanced robot control, virtual reality, robots for services, robotic devices for surgery and human prostheses, education and collaborative projects, space investigation, grasping, guidance vision, 3D automated visual inspection.
